#22633. Bakhtiyar. This is a beautiful Bakhtiyar vase rug from the mid-20th c. woven with unique Bakhtiari colors, hand spun wool. The Tree-of-Life motives tulips, (representation of beauty and vulnerability), and pomegranates, (for prosperity and abundance). It is very hard to find these tribal rugs in these conditions. They are timeless because they were made with passion and love.
All rugs have been hand selected from the regions that are classically famous for rug weaving. Unfortunately, the hand woven rug industry is seeing a decline with fewer and fewer hand weavers keeping up the profession as newer generations move into more advanced industries. As such, these one-of-a-kind rugs will become increasingly rare and are seen by many as collectibles.
