#38374. Iran. This is a mid-20th c. Farrakhan runner. Like all our rugs, this is also one of a kind rug. Its big border is the most unusual in that it has nightingales landing on daises with their partners and forming the boundaries around the center of the rug.
All rugs have been hand selected from the regions that are classically famous for rug weaving. Unfortunately, the hand woven rug industry is seeing a decline with fewer and fewer hand weavers keeping up the profession as newer generations move into more advanced industries. As such, these one-of-a-kind rugs will become increasingly rare and are seen by many as collectibles.
