This is a Ladik woven in Kayseri runner, crafted entirely by hand with 100% wool pile, originates from southeastern Turkey in the beginning of the 21th century. Featuring a rich deep blue field, this piece showcases two Esfahan-style court medallions intricately decorated with detailed nature-inspired motifs. Throughout the ages, civilizations such as the Hittites, Phrygians, Romans, Ottomans, and Armenians have all contributed to the unique culture of Kayseri.
Each of our carpets and kilims is unique, hand-knotted or hand-woven using 100% hand-spun wool. The color variations, known as "Abrash," result from the natural dye absorption of undyed wool or the use of two different dye lots available at the time of weaving. For those seeking uniformity, these pieces may not suit your taste. Instead, they stand as authentic examples of a vanishing craftsmanship tradition.
