This exceptionally fine Kayseri runner, crafted entirely by hand with 100% wool pile, originates from southeastern Turkey during the first half of the 20th century. Its durability stems from the dense weaving achieved through the traditional Turkish double knotting method, ensuring these rugs endure for generations, as exemplified by this piece.
Each of our carpets and kilims is unique, hand-knotted or hand-woven using 100% hand-spun wool. The color variations, known as "Abrash," result from the natural dye absorption of undyed wool or the use of two different dye lots available at the time of weaving. For those seeking uniformity, these pieces may not suit your taste. Instead, they stand as authentic examples of a vanishing craftsmanship tradition.
