The Arm Chair here is upholstered with fragments of a tribal kilim from Konya, that has symbols of Love Birds and Goodnews Birds, in Turkey. It is a very unique one-of-a-kind furniture. All these kilims were originally woven to cover floors or divan (sleeping/sitting raised bench). Overtime, parts of the kilim gets damaged and the parts usable recycled by using them as pillow cases or for upholstering furniture as it is done here.
it is all 100% hand spun mountain wool and hand woven in the early 20th c.
