This armchair is upholstered with fragments of a hand-woven tribal Kars kilim. One-of-a-Kind. It has very predominant dragon, lover, and good luck symbols, as well as the weaver’s initial as “H.” The kilim must have been woven in the early 20th c. It seems to be that the original kilim was part of a dowry.
My furniture has very vivid colors and the kilims were woven with Anatolian hand spun soft but durable sheep wool.
