#42518. Kayseri Beyaz. Here is another ageless Kayseri from the 20th c. woven with hand spun wool and natural dyes in a very low and dense pile in SE of Turkiye. These rugs were mainly woven for the Turkish upper-class families in specific sizes, not perfect sizes like Persian rugs, which were mainly made for the U.S. market. They are also mostly decorated with ornate motives from nature. This has a beautifully crowned medallion with an open field.
